EU AI Act Article 4 · Enforceable since 2 Feb 2025

Role-mapped AI literacy. The opposite of one-size-fits-all compliance training.

Article 4 says workforce AI literacy must be proportionate to role, tools, and context. Generic 40-minute training fails that test. NureComp discovers which AI tools your staff actually use, maps to each role and sector, delivers focused training, and produces audit-ready evidence.

Sectors where this matters most

Legal practice

SRA Code of Conduct + AI Act overlap. Annex III high-risk for some uses (e.g. predictive justice).

Annex III high-risk: AI used in CV screening, candidate ranking. Audit pressure is intense.

Accountancy

ICAEW expects AI literacy as part of competency framework; ICAEW AI tech policy 2024 cites Article 4.

Financial services

FCA expects AI governance; AI Act overlay on top of Consumer Duty.

Marketing & PR

Generative AI use is universal; copyright + brand-risk overlay; client transparency obligations.

Technology / SaaS

Often deployers + providers. AI literacy needed across product, customer success, sales.

Bundle savings

Bundle AI literacy with Harassment and GDPR for £50/seat/year on Pro — saves 33% vs separate purchases.

Common questions

Is this just Article 4?

Article 4 is the workforce-literacy duty (the bit that hits everyone). The training also surfaces Annex III high-risk system obligations for relevant sectors (recruitment, legal, financial services).

What if my team uses a tool you don't have a module for?

Discovery surfaces unknown tools; you can manually add to your AI register; we ship a generic "any-tool" overlay; sector overlays cover the role context. New tool-specific modules ship continuously.

Does this match the Commission guidance?

Our methodology document maps section-by-section to the Commission's AI Act Article 4 Q&A and EHRC-equivalent good-practice guidance.

Does it satisfy CPD?

Yes — CPD-aligned design (every module has explicit CPD hour value, learning outcomes, scenario assessment). CPD methodology document published at /methodology/cpd.
